Quantum mechanics

I have always loved this cartoon which I saw in an old copy of Private Eye. I know it's not about self-organising networks (SON), but QM runs deep in my veins so I thought I would share it.

Actually, SONs and QM are more closely related than you might imagine; I will say more about that in the future.

Have you seen What the Bleep do We Know? You should watch it if you haven't. Interesting blog.

I haven't seen What the Bleep do We Know?, but I found an online synopsis which contains this:

"The protagonist, Amanda, played by Marlee Matlin, finds herself in a fantastic Alice in Wonderland experience when her daily, uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality."

That's a rather pseudo-science view of QM! I wonder whether the film itself gets its QM correct? Like you said, I should really see the film.

I'm glad you find the blog interesting. I started it very recently, and you happen to be the first commenter. Congratulations!
