Summary: My degree is in theoretical physics and my PhD is in quantum chromodynamics (QCD). I now do research in information processing, and my main interest is in self-organising networks for automatically "programming" arbitrarily large networks of processing nodes. My approach is called ACEnet (Adaptive Cluster Expansion network) which is a type of neural network that operates using discrete firing events rather than the usual average firing rates.
